Kim Duncan Therapy

My name is Kim.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

MY STORY

I was born in Melbourne Australia. I moved to Paris in December 2015 to live with my partner Michael and later our adopted cat Hinge.

I graduated from Latrobe University as a family therapist in 2010. During my studies I was working for the Victorian State Government as a Family Group Convener (mediator) and a Senior Policy advisor for the Department of Human Services Child Protection. I spent 8 years in these areas.

After graduating from Latrobe University I worked as a senior clinician for Take Two / Berry Street, where I worked with traumatized children, adolescents. As well as the adults that formed the attachment networks of the young people. As part of my role working for Berry Street I ran reflective space and critical debriefing for employees working in residential care facilities.

I am also a qualified djembe therapist I completed my qualifications in 2015. I have also completed training in life story work as well as specific training related to trauma, transgenerational and cultural trauma. Earlier to these areas of study and work I was a nurse and originally graduated in 1992.

I share a little of me as I believe the narrative of our lives is so important.
